Our Story

Steve Cook’s Bowling Supply (SCBS) is a family owned and operated company founded in 1989 by PBA Hall of Fame Bowler Steve Cook and his lifelong friend and business partner Dave Heller. At the outset, this business began as a small start-up company servicing Northern California pro shops, out of a 1,400 square foot warehouse. It was built on two basic principles: 1) Outstanding service keeps customers coming back, and 2) Commitment to our customers and the great sport of bowling will bring success. 30 years later those principles still ring true, and we have no doubt they have brought us the success we have today.

In 2001 Dave was ready to retire, Steve bought him out and become sole owner. Since that time this business has grown exponentially in size and in reputation. In 2012 SCBS acquired another well know supplier in the industry, Davis Bowling Supply. As a now mutli-location operation, with the original warehouse in Sacramento and the acquired location in Riverside, we service pro shops on the West Coast, including shops in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Alaska and Hawaii.

A Personal Touch

As a company, we pride ourselves on the best customer service in the business. When you call Steve Cook’s Bowling Supply, you don’t just speak to anyone, you speak to one of the men and women that represent our company, and most importantly they know YOU by name.

Our Sacramento and Riverside locations are managed by Steve and his three son-in-law’s, Aaron Rudnicki, Nick Szakacs and Dan Romero, who bring passion and commitment to this family owned business.

Ric Hamlin and John Davis are a instrumental part of our operation as our Outside Sales and Client Services Representatives.

After the acquisition of Davis Bowling Supply, we have been fortunate to work with many of the men and women who brought Davis years of success. Our Riverside location has two office employees, both of which are former Davis employees, Mary Kay Yingst and Michelle Lopez. Mary Kay is our on-site manager, while Michelle handles day to day operations and client service.

Additionally, we have 8 employees managing order fulfillment and shipping in our two warehouses. Many are long time employees in Sacramento, and previous Davis employees in Riverside, creating a cohesive team here at SCBS:
